Gambling takes several forms. You can bet on sports, cards or you can play lotteries and machine games. You can even gamble online. In general, gambling is harmless. Many people gamble for fun, however, there is a population of people that gamble so much that it becomes an obsession that inhibits their normal life activities and leads to harmful effects.
The first harmful effect gambling can have on you is financial. In order to play you need money. Many casinos have developed low cost games to entice more people to play their games of chance. People on limited budgets are attracted by low cost games like nickel Keno, penny bingo and low stakes poker. However, many people lose track of how much money they are actually putting into these games, and after hours of playing these low cost games, hundreds, if not thousands of dollars can be spent. This puts many players into a difficult financial position. The second harmful effect gambling can have on you is psychological. Gambling can become an impulse and lead to an addiction. People who become addicted to card games can gamble away their food money, their rent money, their homes and eventually, their lives. The third harmful effect gambling can have on you is social. People who gamble online a lot are missing out on social interactions that can enrich their lives. If a person develops an online gambling addiction, they may spend most of their waking hours online, isolated from the world. This is not healthy and it can lead to feelings of isolation, depression and agoraphobia. The final harmful effect that gambling can have on you is emotional. Slot casino games, and gambling in general, is designed so that you are going to lose money. Constantly losing at a game can impact your self esteem and make you feel that you are a loser. The wins that you do achieve only add to the problem. They give you false hope that you will walk away a millionaire and they entice you to play more. Unfortunately, this enticement leads you to gamble away all the money that you won plus some. I hope you have found this article interesting. Please, feel free to ask questions regarding article. A hybrid RPG+SI am Game Sneak-Peak Review
Image taken from official Stardew Valley website I do not know about you guys, but I do not really believe that for a game to be great, it has to have weep-worthy graphics. I actually like playing good quality games where the graphics is not as godly as let us say, mass effect. I find it nostalgic and endearing when I play games that has the pixelated thing going on like on Terraria or other sim games on my smartphone (a present from my father. So yes, I am still a qualified poor college student) . Now having said that, Chucklefish LTD is going to publish a ConcernedApe creation, an RPG+Simulation game called Stardew Valley (Note: Chucklefish LTD are the ones currently developing the sci-fi sandbox game with the same 2-bit style called Starbound). Known Features So Far (Note: Unlike Starbound this is not a sidescrolling game. I also think this is a game for Harvest Moon Fans everywhere. I am excited for this game to come out so that I can do a full on game review on it for you guys.) There is a lot of things you can do in this game. Not only do you get to work on your farm, but you get to interact with the NPC in your village (30 characters I believe), and even woo that sexay thang you got your eyes on and eventually marry him/her. Sounds Familiar? I am currently playing Harvest Moon for 3DS and it is very similar to this version of HM. Now, similarly to HM, you may customize your characters appearance as well as customize your home with wallpapers that you can apparently purchase from the local store. There will also be numerous furniture choices. The game also has a certain feature that intrigues me. You are able to make choices where the consequences of your action can make or break your land. here is a preview of the game: You will be able to play 4-people co-op: Build and manage your farm! Of course a farm would not be complete without animals to raise! (This is my favorite feature, they are just so cute!) Now what about the RPG/Adventure side of this game? Well you get to explore caves and kill shi~. Yup, no rest for the wicked farmers here.~ here is a sneak peek for you guys. Check it out: I will keep you guys updated with the game =) if anymore information comes out concerning features and updates Ill post it up. End Note Now, knowing these guys, I am pretty sure we are going to see some hefty amount of contents. I am actually confident that this game is going to be fun indeed. What do you guys think? Thank you for reading my humble ramblings. Planned Content
